Subject: Most Cherished Things.

For 5 whole months he sat in a cage in a store waiting to be bought;
Each day, losing a little more hope for the home he did sought;
Each week I went to visit, and I would pray to the lord;
To find him a home, because we could not afford;
Each week I would watch as the price came down;
Thinking each day a home he had found;
Just to return to still find him in that cage;
Leaving very sad at the level of my wage;
One day, I put together a plan, using extra money I make on the side;
I would give them a down payment and let them decide;
We went for our weekly visit, so out of his cage he did rome;
They took my down payment and that is how he got his new home.
